"We use SunPower panels in our ZERHs, and they come with 25 warranties; however, I know of several folks who've installed panels 35 years a go and still working perfectly. Panels are almost no maintenance to speak off, unless you live in the SW…"

Armando Cobo replied to Chris Dorsi's discussion Question: What Are The Most Common Energy Code "Fails"?
"Generally, its not the code. IMO, its a combination of poor enforcement, lack of education from bldg. officials, raters, builders, subcontractors and homeowners, and just pure greed."

"On the contrary, if there is any wicking through the concrete or any moisture leaks on the rim joist, the open cell will allow any wood and the wall assembly to dry."
