Home Energy Efficiency & Modeling Software Differences

In this video Adam Stenftenagel of Sustainably Built, LLC discusses the concept of energy modeling, its usefulness in building code compliance, and a comparison of prescriptive vs. performance paths for energy compliance. He compares energy modeling software including REM/Rate, Energy Gauge, PHPP (Passiv Haus), and E-Quest for residential and commercial applications.
This is a lunch-time talk (brown bag) for the Boulder Green Building Guild. The BGBG is an association of building professionals dedicated to promoting healthier, resource-efficient homes and work places. Our vision is to empower people to build healthy, resource-efficient communities.
