Comment by Stephanie Perry on October 1, 2012 at 6:46am Sean, I'll email you the details. We have open and closed cell chemicals. Closed cell is the most commonly used.
Comment by Sean Lintow Sr on September 27, 2012 at 3:28pm Pretty neat, mind telling us how much the equipment runs & how much SF does a set of tanks cover at 1 or 2" (I am assuming you are spraying CC)
Dianna - that question would probably be better in the forum or a group like the weatherization or Best Practices - with that OC should not be used where moisture might be an issue. While I am sure there is a liner, if there are any issues it can become an issue pretty quick as most mobile home frames I see are rusted. As for the sponginess, well that is because OC does not add rigidity, only CC does and you probably already had or do have a moisture leakage issue. I doubt ground transfer could have affected it yet & unfortunately as OC is basically a sponge you need to find it quick
Comment by Dianna Winsett on September 27, 2012 at 1:48pm Open cell spray foam was installed on the underside of the floor from the crawlspace of a double wide mobile home almost two years ago. Air ductwork was also insulated this way as it hangs under the floor. Rotten belly paper and bat insulation was removed.Open cell was recommended over closed cell. Not sure this was a good move. I think I can feel some sagging, between the floor joists as I am walking barefoot across the floors. Your thoughts??
