Another Week of Awesome AC Training
Another week ahead with the master HVAC installer and trainer - Rick Chitwood.
This is no ordinary course room.* This is the house about to be retrofitted. We just got through the day of reasoning on the background as to why we install AC in this way.
The students are about to install a properly sized by Manual J - 1 ton per 1000 sq ft system in scorching Las Vegas. The 1400 sq ft house will only have 3 supply ducts and registers - WOW.
We went over some of the calculations on the sizing today, and talked about hows and whys of delivering air properly.
This type of install is something that is easy really. It works. It saves energy. Customers like them and the comfort that they offer.Next up:
The students are going to install the system now as part of the course activities! Stay tuned, as I hope to bring a little footage.
