I have a big bay window like 10'-11' wide and 4' high. At the winter time this window brings cold into the room. It is not convenient to weatherize this window from inside. I thought to cover it with plastic sheeting from outside. I have a brick walls around this window outside. I bought a frost king weatherseal clear tape for outdoor but it lasted only one week and refused to hold longer. I tried a gray duct tape but it lasted only one day and gave up. I looked what other people are using for brick and some suggested to use gorilla duct tape. But I read a lot of bad comments on this tape. Is there anything good on a market that can stick plastic sheeting to an outdoor brick for the entire winter and make not much damage?

Hi Isaak,

Finding a solution becomes more important if you will be staying in this house for several years, as you will need to repeat this process over and over.  To that end, it might be worth while considering a frame that can be assembled and installed with the film attached to the frame, not the brick.  Since the window is very large, multiple sections might work better and if you wouldn't object to the looks of a grid, that would add the support necessary for that size opening.

Build it right and your solution will work for many years.

Bud
