"Oh please - that's a classic college-level thermodynamics question! That might be marginally effective if Peter shoved the fridge into an exterior doorway such that the hot coils were outside the room and airsealed the remaining gaps."

"Simple, the heat from the back/bottom of the fridge heated up the room. You can't "make cold", only move heat. Unless the condenser coil is outside of the room it will never work."
