I've got a 20-unit 3-story apartment project in Seattle that's evaluating using DHPs vs. tankless hydronic in each unit. I'm a big fan of DHPs but haven't seen them in a MF setting - can they all use…Continue

Alison Snow said… Hi Pam,
Thanks for the message. I remember seeing your name when I started the certification class 2 years ago! I wanted the information from the course more than the certification because my intention was to incorporate some of the testing into a business I developed but haven't yet gotten off the ground, Greening Homes, which will be a consulting service for homeowners and home buyers. So, I haven't pursued practicing as an auditor. I recently moved from Bellevue to Sammamish and do hope to get very familiar with the Highlands and other new construction on the plateau so I can inform buyers why current codes and further energy/green improvements are beneficial in many ways. Since I have your ear, do you find that builders are requesting Energy Star certifications less now than in the past? I've heard that our codes are now very close to ES standards anyway.
Have a good day!
Alison
