"+1 if flue gasses are too cool it will simply rot the pipe out. That's a big reason that double wall pipe (b vent) is used even when it's not required by code for low clearance."

"This drops flue temp and will keep the heat in the building.   bottom side will keep both hot water heater and boiler  to venting CO and other things out the flue into home.   It's heat that will keep flues gases going up.…"

As you may know, Cruz Construction started a division in North Dakota just 6 months ago. They sent every Kenworth (9 trucks) we had here in Alaska to North Dakota and several drivers.
