Low-cost electricity monitoring: Accuracy & Applications

Lots of folks involved in the 1000 Home Challenge have effectively tackled their electric plug loads.Low cost devices such as the Kill A Watt meter (~$30)  can provide useful information that help direct their actions. Have only very limited data from one project.  For 3 months, electric use is about 20Jean%20May-July%202011%20Electricity%20Use.docx% more than predicted and 38% less than estimated pre-retrofit.  However, it's been a very mild summer. see attached.
