Jim Tenhundfeld replied to Jack Baikoff's discussion Measuring fresh air intake ducted to a return and no way of measuring from outside.
"Field Controls make a damper that goes inside the duct that can be adjusted for the amount of cfm that you want to bring into the return.  The damper opens to the set amount when the A/H engages."

Jim Tenhundfeld commented on Christopher Morin's blog post Clocking a Gas Meter
"I agree that clocking the gas meter may indicate the proper gas pressure, but a true combusion anlysis measuring the O2, CO & stack temperature and draft pressure will let you know if the the appliance is operating at its highest…"

"Maybe you could train her (ha ha ha) to turn on the switch when she leaves & turn it off when she comes back.  Good luck with that. It would not work with my wife, i am sure of that."

"Chris, There are 3 Aeroseal contractors in the Gr. Cincinnati area.  The contractors provide a pre and post total duct leakage test to the home owner. I have seen total duct leakage go from 700cfm down to 100cfm in some of their jobs. …"

First Law of Themodynamics

I have been thinking alot about this 1st Law, where energy is neither created or destroyed and i am having difficulty understanding this. After viewing a number of PBS shows about the universe is expanding based on Quantam Physics and the discussions of String Theory in which there may be more than one universe, not to mention the discussions of Quarks and Deep Energy which makes up 70% of the univers, DOES THIS LAW STILL MAKE SENSE AND IS IT STILL CORRECT?See More
