Solar should BE the Roof, not just on the roof.

Instead of installing plywood sheathing, roofing paper and shingles, I put together a video shows how solar modules could be attached directly to the roof trusses.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNT5QxBkyiYSince you have to install a roof anyway, the labor cost of…See More

Professional Interests
I run the commercial and industrial energy efficiency program for our electric utility, but assist with residential conservation program as well. I am interested in all aspects of commercial, residential and industrial energy efficiency. Currently experimenting with Matlab and Simulink to model building energy consumption in ways that existing computer models cannot come close to replicating. Have also developed simplified methods for analyzing residential and commercial energy use and conservation potentials using monthly gas and electric bills, combined with average monthly temperatures and square footage. Former Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA)board member. Also interested in all things solar. I organized and started the world's only solar drag race. Working with local high school students, we will attempt to set the world speed record for a solar-only powered vehicle during the summer of 2011 at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
