Professional Interests
You will be hiring an expert who has a solid understanding of heat transfer laws, thermal dynamics and properties of why objects are hot or not or appear to be hot or not. My infrared camera allows me to identify hidden problem areas much faster and (in most cases) can avoid building owners from using invasive and destructive measures in order to pinpoint problem areas behind finished surfaces of their building.

When performing thermal imaging on a building, this technology provides me with crucial information about issues that may be hidden behind walls, ceilings, roof surfaces or any other inaccessible finished areas throughout your building. In providing this optional infrared service, I am now fully able to detect, interpret and document hidden faults and anomalies for immediate corrective action. I can even prioritize specific repairs to certain concealed areas of your building if the issue is considered serious.

Enhancing Your Infrared (Thermal) Imaging Scan

Posted on December 17, 2010 at 8:00am 2 Comments

It can be possible if you politely ask your clients to have the home (or job site) prepared for you in order to alleviate any issues during the thermal scan. With the many unprepared infrared scans that I have completed, I have come up with a list in order for you to achieve the maximum benefit of your infrared inspections....

pipe leaks

The problem faced by most property owners is that any moisture behind the walls, over ceilings, and under the floors are often impossible to detect until the problem is excessive and obviously visible. But, by then it’s too late and all damaged surfaces must now be replaced, along with the pipes that caused the damage. Small supply pipe leaks or waste line seepage's are common sources of water…

excessive ice dam

Ice dams in Massachusetts are an ongoing nuisance and are causing extensive damage to soffit cavities, fascia boards, roof sheathing, gutters, and to the most outer portion of living area walls. This ice build-up can absolutely be alleviated, but every house tends to have a different situation as to why this ice dam is there in the first place. First, I'd like to explain how this massive ice mound forms on the most outer edge of your…

radiant ice and snow melt pipe detection

Ice and snow melt systems are utilized in many applications throughout the state of Massachusetts. Business owners utilize snow and ice melt systems in outdoor malls, parking lots, car washes, walkways, and loading ramps to eliminate the expense of continuous snowplowing, to avoid skidding of vehicles and to prevent slip-and-fall accidents on their property.
