Fix this leakage?

What sort of leakage reduction could I expect if I try to plug all these tiny gaps? This is a typical cathedral ceiling around these parts, 2x6 tongue and groove over 4x beams. In this image we're…Continue

Tools of the Trade

A hammer and a saw used to be the key tools for home contractors. Today, the best-in-breed also use high-tech equipment while performing a professional energy audit or verifying that construction has been done correctly.

David Meiland replied to Andrew Aliferis's discussion Affordable, effective and easy to install HRV?
"Some people seem to like the Panasonic spot ERV. Other than that, there's nothing particularly cheap/easy. You need an appropriate space for the unit and the ductwork. It can be fairly difficult in a retrofit, maybe easier in new construction."

David,

Thanks for the comment.  I was intending to use pressurization, but still am concerned about the liability.  Even a pressurized house can disturb the material; then, with a leaky duct system, there is no assurance the material won't be drawn back in the house.
