Chris is a leading teacher, author, and visionary in the fields of housing policy, building construction, and energy efficiency. As a partner of Saturn Resource Management, he helped chart the pathways for the emerging green building industry. Today he leads Habitat X, a private firm that delivers technical training, hosts training events, and provides technical support to the efficiency industry.

Chris has co-authored several publications with John Krigger, including Residential Energy: Cost Savings and Comfort for Existing Buildings, the Homeowner's Handbook to Energy Efficiency, and the Saturn Field Guides.

His upcoming book, due on the streets in 2013, reports from the intersection of housing, culture, and the environment.
