AC exhaust up chimney

We are looking at getting a portable AC unit. Is it possible to vent the heated exhaust air into a fireplace that will exit up and out the chimney. Or would I have to run the 5" flexible exhaust vent up and out the top of the chimney? The chimney is about 20' in length so was wondering if it would be a stretch for the exhaust pump to move air that distance. But seeing how hot air likes to rise, that might be a benefit. Thanks in advance.See More
