Comment by Paul Esposito on April 24, 2012 at 6:38am Photo from a 6" SuperAttic™ install in Syracuse. We installed 4" pieces of SilverGlo™ (board insulation infused w/ graphite and manufactured w/ a radiant barrier on both sides) in between rafters leaving a 2" air gap extending from the soffit vent to the ridge vent, maintaining ventilation of the roof deck. An additional 2" of SilverGlo™ was then installed across the rafters to provide an even surface for future drywalling.
