Thanks.  I have always installed tubing over 2" foam, not 4".  With optimum soil conditions (mostly what I deal with where I am) there is little need to go with anything over 2" foamboard insulation in the floor.  Perimeter insulation is, in my opinion, as important if not more than the floor.

Eric:  nice photos of your quality work.  questions for you on your radiant basement floor, pls confirm 4" pinkboard (nicely taped), what type of clips? and what underlayment(s)?
