Elfi also has a system for retrofitting residential buildings. It does require the removal of either the exterior or interior wall coverings. The result is R40 walls. Same can be done for the roof but you will get a higher R value.

The Elfi Wall System allows you to build or retrofit existing structures to R40 walls and R60 roofs. Our shells go up in 1/3 the time of traditional construction. Load bearing walls to 9 stories. Any architectural element can be accomodated. We manufacture in Chicago however we are looking to license others in our technology, design your factory and train your staff.
Our retrofit system can go on the inside or outside of your existing structure.
