What happens when you don't leave a drainage plane behind exterior brick cladding...

The only thing that saved this home from complete destruction was the vapor barrier behind the drywall. Wet fiberglass insulation dripping water, moldly OSB, crumbling exterior brick. I have more photos if you want to see them. DISASTER!

Ouch! I have seen this with fake stucco and "lick and stick" manufactured stone...Oh if I only knew then what I know now.....
