Hey. Just curious if anyone's using g+ yet and what you think of it. I guess businesses have not been invited into the inner sanctum yet. Do you think there will be a shift when/if businesses are? Is the value more about personal interaction, over FB business pages?

Anyone?

Just signed up on Friday, I haven't had time to really dig in yet but it looks sleek enough. Allegedly there will be more functionality for businesses soon -- which could be a big deal, since there will most likely be integration with Google Maps and Places pages, etc. But I think right now it's pretty much a case of the wait-and-see's.

If anybody wants to check it out, shoot me a message with your gmail addy and I'll send you an invite.

Just added you! I've been following your ACI posts on twitter and really love your personal posts. :)

The great thing about Google+ is that you can put people in circles so that you select who gets to see which messages. For instance, I have my husband in Friends, Following, and Family. He also sees anything I post going to Extended Circles or Public. My work friends are in my Work Friends circle and would see special posts related to them and not see things I share with my family and friends unless they are also in those circles.

This feature will be especially helpful for my twenty-something son! Though personally, I'd love to see everything he posts... :)

Yes, you can just select circles like Family and Friends and it will only be seen by people in those groups. But...I want to see your book stuff even tho I'm a work friend... :)

Saw this on a forum for business testing: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?hl=en_US&formkey=d...

If you want a short url (vanity url) to your Google + page, go to glpus.to & you can cretae one quickly enough, mine is http://gplus.to/htrc

I do like the idea of the circles (whether personal or business) --- this info can go to everyone, maybe I will ask a tricky question just to fellow auditors & this special is for past customers only, etc...

I did a test post from my blog today - liked the layout & description it automatically gives when you add the link (funny though how it didn't grab the proper picture, but as with everything google - its always in beta / fix mode

Another interesting rumor I heard is that if you tie your Picasa site into it, it automatically goes unlimited for no additional charge

from my enewsletter from usefulsocialmedia.com

and I quote:

(and yes, there's nothing on Google+ but that's because we don't have much info on business pages etc at this stage):

So Jennifer, your instincts are correct.

Google+ doesn't offer pages for businesses yet, but you adding their +1 button to your current web site can help you get more clicks.  Now users who are signed in to Google when they search will see which of their Google contacts have +1'ed a web page on their search results, adding instant social credibility to your site/page.
