Quality Assurance Verification Specialist - Little Rock, Arkansas

CLEAResult (clearesult.com) is looking for a QA Verification professional who wants to leverage their BPI or RESNET HERS certification by playing a key role in the various energy-efficiency programs that the company manages in the state of Arkansas.  The two primary responsibilities of the position are as follows; other duties may be required on an as-needed basis:

  • Perform field verifications on work performed by participating contractors.  Measures to be verified are ceiling insulation, wall insulation, duct sealing, air sealing, air conditioners, heat pumps, energy evaluations, CFL’s, smart strips, water-heater wraps, water-heater pipe insulation, low-flow shower heads, and low-flow faucet aerators.
  • Document the verifications and communicate the results and corrective actions to participating contractors.

The minimum requirements for this important role are: BPI BA or RESNET Home Energy Rater certification, plus a minimum of one year of experience doing blower-door and duct-blaster testing as well as being involved in the implementation of energy-efficiency measures.

Other qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with HVAC systems and residential building science to include diagnosing and making recommendations for solutions to issues identified during testing.
  • Project management: coordinates projects; communicates changes and progress.
  • Oral communication: speaks clearly and persuasively; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates good presentation skills.
  • Organizational support: follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports organization's goals and values.
  • Dependability: follows instructions; responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; keeps commitments; commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals; completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
  • Quality: demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Safety and security: observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.

The ability to communicate the benefits of energy efficiency to a variety of audience types at a general, overall level, as well as from an in-depth, detailed perspective, will be very important.  Travel in this position is expected to be in the 90% range and may involve occasional overnight stays.  All travel is within Arkansas.  Consistently arriving on time for scheduled appointments is expected.
