Department Overview

 

Recurve’s Business Development and Sales group manages the company-wide strategy for strategic partnerships, drives execution of strategic partnership deals and programs, develops new growth opportunities for the company, and manages the direct sales process to energy efficiency contractors in the US. The group is tasked with improving revenue growth, competitive differentiation, and realization of the company vision through strategic alliances, partnerships, business development initiatives and direct sales.

 

Responsibilities:

Recurve is looking for a highly talented Manager, Business Development & Sales to contribute to the growth/expansion into new markets while driving the sale of software to contractors.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive strategic partnership initiatives and deals with manufacturers and big-box retailers in the residential energy efficiency space
  • Develop the rationale, business case, and frameworks for strategic partnering
  • Manage the deal process for strategic deals, including structuring and negotiating deal terms with the partner and coordinating the cross-functional deal team (across legal, finance, sales, marketing, product management, etc.)
  • Drive direct contractor sales to energy efficiency contractors in US markets with large incentive programs

 

Desired Skills & Experience

Qualifications

 

  • Technical ability to understand software and recognize areas of product integration, discuss product roadmaps, and engage with product managers
  • 2-5 years relevant professional experience, ideally in business development/alliances or strategy/corporate development at a leading high-tech company
  • Proven ability to manage sales cycles from prospecting, qualifying and closing deals
  • Track record of exceptional performance in current and past roles
  • Ability to think strategically and to translate a strategy into execution plans
  • Familiarity with building business plans and analyzing/designing complex business models and partnership concepts
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with people across all levels and organizations
  • Crisp and effective communicator who can work well within extended teams
