Client had a window/weatherization company do a FREE energy audit with only a laser thermometer in their toolbox. They promised a 50% reduction in energy savings with this type of air sealing in rim joist. Did nothing with the attic or address the whole house box fan. I’ll be adding more Pixs soon.

Ty, that's AWESOME!!  Guess they got the pitch wrong....

Once that 800 lb condensate iceberg topples into the building it might be a problem.  lol.

Altough this isn't yet a problem, it is kind of funny how high this ice mound has grown from this exhaust vent.

BTW, that is the hot water tank vent.

Gas fired DHW.  This is the attic floor, and the pilot assembly is at eye level in a kitchen cabinet. Below is the top, note the flue!
