Unfortunately, this isn't the first time I've seen this doing a WAP audit.

Fix that water leak. Seriously.  This is what happens if you don't.  No surprise that I could only pull 10 Pa in a blower door test.  14,000 CFM.

Just over 1,500 square feet.  Almost $400 a month electricity bill in the summer.

This is the living room.

This is a bedroom.  Mold on the wall :(

This is my favorite. The quintessential Texas backyard shot.  And this is Austin!

Perfect "Hall of Shame" entry.

Thanks!

I take it you do work with a low income weatherization program?  Did the fact that they had no ceiling not bother them?

Yes, WAP is the low income Weatherization Assistance Program.  Yes, the lack of ceiling did bother the homeowner, but being retired, she didn't have much money.  Her children were trying to help her out the best they could.

She didn't quite know why her energy bills were so high.  To much outside in her inside.

Single story house with vented crawl space, no ceiling in the living room, window A/C,  and gable vented. No wonder you could only get 10 pa.
