As a HERS rater, Ray Chapala continually thinks about energy conservation. "So when it came time to do the annual defrost of my
beer fridge I thought to test the gasket to see if it was properly
sealed. I bought this refrigerator at a church yard sale for $5, and it
works for about $2.50 a month. Anyway, I used the dollar bill gasket
test."
