Considering Permaculture &/or Transition

Some who work to increase energy efficiency and intelligent/wise use of energy are, and some will be, permaculturists.  Some are involved in Transition initiatives.  Here's a home base for any/all interested in the relationships and prospects.

David Holmgren:  "People, their buildings and the ways they organize themselves are central to permaculture."

The phenomenon called Transition was hatched in the UK and for several years has been spreading around the world.  Transition is possible, transition is probable and nearly inevitable.

Stephen R. Covey's organization has announced a 175 city tour with a complimentary 2-hour exploration of 5 choices to extraordinary productivity.  Learn more and register at http://the5choices.com/solution/index.html

Remember, Covey is dedicated to a production/production capability balance; the near term and depletion are neither foremost nor commended.

I'll attend the one in Boston in September.

Is there a Transition initiative in/near your area?  Those folks want your help!

You owe it to yourself to participate in one of Linda Wigington's introductory webinars concerning the Thousand Home Challenge.  There is a big opportunity to make a difference for the people who take it on.  The Challenge requires nearly all but those who can deploy renewable energy gizmos to establish and strengthen relationships.

(The foregoing is a slightly modified echo of a comment I posted recently and deleted because I could not edit it.)

An introduction/invitation to the variant I've crafted by fusing permaculture with interdependence achievement as elucidated by Dr. Stephen R. Covey and some others.

Howdee all!  So glad to be part of this group.  We have a place in Montana called The Pure Energy Center - remote location - with a well established organic garden (6 acres), and 6 different types of buildings to use for training home performance contractors, ranging from a 1970 single wide to an off grid solar home.  Sitting pretty and ready for the RESILIANCE Movement.  Looking forward to some good discussions here!
