In the interest of reducing the training burden on our accredited contractors and programs, BPI will postpone referencing ASHRAE Standard 62.2-2010 - Ventilation and Acceptable Indoor Air Quality in Low Rise Residential Buildings in BPI's standards and certifications. ASHRAE is expected to publish an updated 62.2-2013 standard, which includes several significant changes, in the spring of 2013.

Hi all, I was expecting this but this should have little impact on the nationwide Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) as ASHRAE 62.2 is still a requirement under WPN11-6 for all weatherization agencies. NYSWDA will continue to train 62.2 2010 and will update the training for 62.2 2013 when it's mandated. We will continue to schedule ongoing New York State WAP 62.2 trainings so please go to our training calendar at www,nyswda.org. for our 62.2 training schedule. We will begin preparations for 62.2 trainings for all NYSERDA contractors when BPI formally announces the implementation of the standard. Happy New Year......
