The Jon Siemen Memorial Scholarship was originally launched on September 12, 2016. The Building Performance Institute, Inc. awards this scholarship to four (4) recipients annually. Applicants must currently work with a weatherization assistance program and meet the prerequisites (when applicable) to be eligible for the scholarship.

When the Jon Siemen Memorial Scholarship was launched, individuals could apply to have the scholarship cover the cost of testing for one of the Home Energy Professional (HEP) certifications (Energy Auditor, Quality Control Inspector, Retrofit Installer Technician, or Crew Leader).

The scholarship program has since been expanded. Recipients of the scholarship will have the opportunity to take the online and/or field exams for any BPI certification or the Building Science Principles (BSP) certificate at no cost. BPI also helps scholarship recipients with training and exam coordination.

For more information, please read the scholarship instructions on our website (http://bpi.org/about-us/awards-and-scholarships#jonsiemen).  Applications for the 2018 scholarship are being accepted until November 30, 2017.

Don't miss this opportunity to get your BPI exam costs covered!
