Fantastic questions, Dale! And I like the idea of investing in energy education.

What is a venture capitalist investor looking for when considering an investment?  A weatherization company with a biz plan for explosive growth? A startup with the next must-have energy saver or weatherization widget?

I think investors should look at investing in ACI to go mainstream multimedia and make energy education as step one of a Manhattan Project for efficiency.  Lots of fronts for return-on-investment.  All must-have technologies started with cultivating the demand; no different for must-have ultra-efficiency.

What area of our industry do others think would make for a good investment?

Hey guys! Here's a neat opportunity kind of following on the heels of the Twitter feed of the social media class:

What do YOU want to know from the venture capitalist investors that will be at the summit?

Post your questions here and we'll try to get them all asked!

I imagine there will be a lot of activity on the #ACI11 stream while we're doing the session. I know one of our objectives is to get people on Twitter and show them how to use it. I'm sure we'll also cover some other topics and encourage everyone to tweet away during the session.

We could have one of the machines in the room tracking #aci11 during the session.
Comment by Graeme Nix on March 16, 2011 at 11:18am
True, no point streaming hands-on training time. But if you do manage to get any live output, a simple Twitter hashtag would be enough to pose some questions, if someone in the room is able to monitor it.
Comment by Stephanie Inglis on March 16, 2011 at 10:12am

Hmmm...not sure streaming would work, because the plan is to have several stations set up so people can get hands-on experience with their social media channel of choice.

I love the idea of taking questions from the Twitter gallery, though. Allison, Amanda, Peter: what do you think?

Comment by Graeme Nix on March 16, 2011 at 9:40am

Retrotec will be there. Ron's going to show off our new Model 1000 fan, and will be passing out information on the free training materials (video and ppt) that we're offering to anyone who's interested (contact me if you'd like to see something ahead of time). The training covers anything you need to know for blower door and duct testing, and BPI CEUs are available.

They're not sending me, which is a shame as I'd like to meet those who are attending the Social Media session. Anyone able to stream it online? take questions from the Twitter gallery?

Thanks, Jennifer.

If anyone out there has media contacts they think would be interested in attending the summit, the core conference or both (or just receiving news about ACI), please let them know they would be very welcome. They can request press credentials via the press room. Of if you'd like us to reach out to them for you, email me at singlis@motumb2b.com

This is shaping up to be another great conference!  I'm looking forward to meeting up with colleagues, checking out the latest technologies and strategies, and demonstrating our new ZPD House pressure diagnostics simulator.  Stop by the EnergyWright booth and test your diagnostic skills.
