Just found this thread addressing the use of Panasonic's Whisper Green wiith a ductless heat pump. No distribution system other than the Whisper Green moving air between rooms.

I should have included "officially" in that sentence. At a point tbd, I hope to draw some households into supported attempts to meet the challenge entirely by broad relationship strengthening and making. Like energy efficiency, it's faster and less expensive than the alternatives.
Life up and down the street may be the equitable middle ground between home as castle and life on the street.
Re: "expanding the range of strategies & tactics" (from the brief description of the group), because of my own interests, I tend to emphasize here what the expansion annexed. Don't be misled; the core of deep retrofit remains.
