DER Builder’s Guide   (240 pages)

The DER Builder’s Guide provides an exploration into DER concepts and an elaboration of technical specifications for several common approaches to wall, ceiling, attic, basement, and slab assemblies. Special attention is given to how a specific single assembly can be completed while providing for future DER work as part of a staged approach to a deep energy retrofit.

"I didn't think I'd hear studies about it post its completion."

Sean, revealing how most, if not all, households meet the Challenge is one of the reasons for the Challenge.  Sharing people's strategies, some of which cannot be anticipated, will greatly increase the overall impact as non-participants adopt and adapt them.

Having helped work on one of the homes in the studies, it was nice to see how it compared to the other completed projects.  I didn't think I'd hear studies about it post its completion. Thanks THC :)

Revised:  If you are on Facebook, please consider joining the 1000 Home Challenge group there, as well.  It's an open-to-all group, revealing the Challenge to a wider population segment.  Find it at 1000 Home Challenge.
