I see it as another program to verify improved performance of the existing infrastructure without the membership cost such as LEED or Passive House.  What really drew me in was the opportunity to get recognized for the work we have been performing on our home and to use it to be shown as a leader and expert in the sibject.

Thanks, Joshua.  In essence you said the 1000 Home Challenge is an opportunity for both residents and service providers.  Both receive recognition, the latter gain credibility, as well.

Thanks for your response Joshua, Many of our projects have home owners who are energy professionals, and I think your response resonates with them.
