Solid state lighting - saves lives- and it improves life .

Yet more from the realm of LED lighting-

Many folks are seeing LEDs - it's hard to avoid contact with 'em.

A growing proportion of cars utilize the array of lighted dots - ie Audi products.

They are in folks homes as in LED televisions - and the on topic point

for this audience is you're seeing them in overhead , standard form factor lamps.

Wonderful -

Here are a few wrinkles on their use that are saving lifes or making life better:

the Ohio dept of transportation (ODOT) has begun fitting out their snowplows with

a distinctive green LED - the light from this wrinkle allows drivers to better gauge

distance by enhancing depth perception elements - Its early but it's a new accident

reducing scheme.

- Or the gravity LED - using a / weight/ dynamo/ LED combo an altrusic concern is

generating the energy from these simple devices to provide lighting for rural, destitue

folks- the extra hour or so of light is helping in the quest to bring more viable hours

of productivity to places relaint on (expensive for them) kereosene.

Or - how about using OLEDs embedded in gauze to help patients with skin disorders-

medical science is garnering great results with an innovation that helps skin cancer patients

and those suffering from dermal maladies to heal - very quickly + effectively by use

of a specific "light therapy.

THese and many other applications are taking off - using LED in light boxes and/or

special ambiant lighting for relief from that medical problem SAD-

Yes the lighting gains for standard "bulbs or lamps are something" we in the SSL industry

know it to be "the TIP OF THE ICEBERG"
