Was just looking for some input on different techniques for ensuring a permanent seal between a block foundation wall, and a 6 mil. poly barrier resting on a dirt crawlspace floor? If one could referrence specific products that would aide also. Thanks in advance for your input.

usually you are running an exhaust fan while we do the work, and we hacve occasionally left a fan blowing for several hours afterwards to evacualte odors. not necessarily VOC's, but amines, etc.
there havebeen jobs i have declined becasue venting during install would not be practical
Permalink Reply by Rob Orchard on December 13, 2012 at 7:08am Your Crawlspace Inc. sells a vapor barrier specifically designed for crawlspace wall applications and requires no mechanical fasteners. It is installed in one step with a VOC compliant polyurethane adhesive. Since water is a catalyst for polyurethane to cure, it even works on water saturated foundation walls. It cuts hours off a typical installation. You can find more information at www.yourcrawlspace.com.
