Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about NEASI, the National Energy and Sustainability Institute in Colorado Springs?  They are certifying commercial energy auditors that have taken a program similar to a building analyst course - about the same price and timing.

Here is more info (their Web site).

My next step was to ascertain their relationship, if any, with SWEEP.  They are neither supporters nor partners (which doesn't mean a lot).

I am curious about this as well. Doing audits on small commercial building seems to be an excellent addition for companies already doing home energy audits. I am sure there would be greater income for these types of audits although the focus may be more on lighting, appliances, controls, motors, rather than air leakage and insulation. It seems like the HVAC work would be about the same. How are other energy auditing companies marketing to this market? It is tricky since where I am there are minimal utility EE rebate programs, and many small commercial businesses rent their building, so the owners don't have as much incentive to to improve efficiency. I would like to hear what other are doing with this opportunity. I was also recently contacted by Denby Energy who uses the NEASI certification

I believe NEASI is a part of Denby Energy. They appear to have been created by and for the benefit of Denby Energy or its principals. I cannot find anything in regards to NEASI that doesn't tie directly back to Denby Energy.

Paul and Kevin,

There comes a time when you present your questions to the entity about which you are curious.  Why not ask what they offer and why you should want it?

Kevin, you report that you were contacted by Denby Energy but chose to tell nothing about the encounter.  Might you tell sometime?
