A "National" Certification Mill Expelled by BPI

BPI's requirement of Video taping proctored tests appears to have scored if not its first, but its Biggest Culprit. A well known, if not respected, National Training Mill has lost its BPI Test Center Status. Why?, ... well that is obvious to any legitimate Test Center. The Fly In / Fly Out method of "Training" does not stand up to scrutiny. I hope that more group members that are 'In the Know" are more willing in the future, to comment on similar examples of training fraud & failure. Only by shining the light on such Training Mills will our industry ever rid itself of such Charletan's.

It was only a matter of time.....

AHA!!! I called  this months ago. FANTASTIC (I called it a puppy mill) BRAVO A step in the right direction.

Ok I will bite - who got expelled & where's the press release?

Me too

Can't say right now. It is a "National" company and I'm sure you can figure it out.

Geary, in fairness to all of the companies doing things correctly, you need to find a way to identify the company or you shouldn't have mentioned it in the first place.  As you have it now, ALL are suspect and that's probably not what you intended.

Bud

Agreed. This is either a leak or a rumor until BPI confirms. Who is your source?

Well it appears to be Clean Edison as they are no longer listed but... I don't see any press releases or any other confirmation so is it just a computer error & an overactive imaginations or legit? Of course even if true, just because they can't test doesn't mean that they cant "teach" still

Only BPI can confirm or deny the allegation.  BPI we're waiting Don't pull a romney we want to know

It got confirmed via David Butler about 2 hours ago after he called BPI directly (Linked In discussion). With that said it would be nice if BPI would comment or release a statement, especially for one of this magnitude. Along those lines I have to side with Bud that this thread or any other one should never have been posted in the first part without the name

I just spoke with someone from clean edison in new york. They said they were still testing training etc. I then directed him to the discussion on Linkedin and said I did not want to see their business affected if this were not true. He said he would address the situation. give them a chance to respond to the allegations. Just waiting on their response.

Here is the latest BPI press release, including this excerpt:

"...BPI has been able to pinpoint and document problem areas, leading to the decommissioning of one test center and one proctor in order to maintain the integrity of BPI's certifications. A full list of organizations and individuals whose contracts have been terminated, as well as a list of test centers and proctors that have chosen not to renew their contracts with BPI, will be made available in early September."

Bravo to BPI. Hard as it is to do, this is what it takes.
