Hello all Home Pro's! I am wondering what is the best designed HRV or ERV you are using on your projects. My personal favorite is the Venmar Guardian Plus Hepa HRV.

When tested the accuracy of the HEPA filtration is undeniable. It also only needs one hole in the exterior wall and never needs balancing as the design brings in more air than what is exhausted.

Paul the design of the one I put on provides more air to pressurize the house just right. Not sure what the figures would show but even when a HRV or ERV is balanced at times the home is not according to the wind and stack effect.

You are correct about the directory and this unit is displayed in the directory but does not need to be balanced as it only has one fan to do all the exchange.

As for Bradford's comment I can guarantee that a test will show a 99% reduction in Particle count inside a home with HEPA HRV filtration as long as proper balancing is done with the heating system, proper air sealing has been done. Yes all Home Owners need to monitor the system and have full access to it.
