Does anyone know of any good homeowner education videos about building performance or house as a system? Energy Star had Steve Thomas do one a few years ago but it has since been embargoed.
It seems to me without proper consumer education about building science, the biggest mouths with the biggest ad budgets will continue to win, pushing poor investments like radiant barriers, windows, etc. For example, most homeowners have no idea why airsealing is importantt, and think it is just a contractor 'extra'.
Thanks

Maybe the DOE or some organization could sponsor it like Home Energy Pros or Efficiency First.
It would streamline the audit process if a Homeowner could watch a video before or during the audit.

Is there a 30 second TV commercial version in your future?

Cara, please let me know when you've done the one on air sealing. Tomorrow, I will try and go on your youtube channel.
It would be such a great idea if public educational videos were posted on a universal site and were available to contractors. I do remember that there have been a number of videos done explaining what an audit is and does.
Thanks John for bringing this up
