I was pleased to learn that the Feds extended the energy tax credit for 2012 and 2013.  Now, I need a reminder on what I need to supply my homeowners for insulation installs.

The full rule is here http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/26/25C, but in essence that what you did meets or exceeds the 2009 IECC, the applicable specs & a breakdown of labor & materials used to do said project (i.e. windows @ X, Insulation @Y - total labor @ Z)

Now for windows, a copy of the sticker, etc... should be included as proof

We were pleased, too! We wrote a blog post to try and simplify the extension and what it means for those considering energy efficiency improvements this year (also for those that completed upgrades last year). Hope it helps! We link to the Tax Incentives Assistance Project, which also provides more resources and forms: http://www.cntenergy.org/2013/01/11/get-the-most-out-of-home-energy...

Is there any schedule or additional documentation the homeowner has to file?  If so, can someone direct me to that?

Thanks.

You are going to have to wait till the IRS has all that sections forms & manuals updated & finalized which is supposed to be sometimes towards the end of this month or early February
