Andy Frank of Sealed has a nice series of posts going on home energy guarantees. The concept first captured when I saw Perry Bigelow start offering guarantees on affordably priced spec homes in Chicago. It gets very interesting in existing homes where the absolute error bars are larger--but it's still doable, and we offered a guarantee in my last company. But back to Andy's series:
