As part of BPI's ongoing efforts to educate homeowners on the value of home performance and working with a BPI Certified Professional, we have published over 50 blog posts over the past 18 months. To keep this up, we need your help.

What we need

Our blog has covered many different aspects of building science and home living, with topics ranging from technical descriptions of ventilation and insulation to energy efficient window treatments and radon in the home.

We'd like to expand to include case studies, stories from the field, or answers to questions that homeowners frequently ask, and that's where you come in!

Some topic ideas might include the following, but we are open to all ideas:

  • Insulation and Keeping Your Home Cool through Summer
  • What Do Blower Door Findings Actually Mean?
  • Gauging Your Home's Performance Before Going Solar Could Help You Save More

Would you, or someone on your team, be willing to write a short (500-750 word) blog post on a topic of your choosing?

Keep in mind that these posts should be friendly and informative, not sales pitches.

What you'll get

Name recognition, free marketing, company advertising, and more! By writing on a topic, you establish yourself as a knowledgeable and trustworthy source of information. Homeowners in your area will see this and recognize that you are a step above your competition.

Bonus: BPI Certified Professionals can earn 2 BPI CEUs* for writing an educational article, and can earn up to 10 CEUs per certification cycle.

Additionally, you will be able to include a bio, company logo, link to your website, and any other contact information you'd like to include within your blogger bio.

This would be in addition to your information on our locator tool. Set yourself apart even from fellow BPI Certified Professionals by establishing yourself as an expert in your field!

I want to contribute!

You can reach out to us with questions or ideas by responding to this email, or by emailing

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

*BPI must accept and publish the blog post for the individual to receive the 2 CEUs. Individual must hold an active BPI certification to receive CEUs. Blog posts must be: original content (not republished), 500-750 words, grammatically correct, and on a relevant and applicable topic. Please review the CEU Policies and Procedures document for more information.
