I did an audit yesterday and found out that a single doggy door was responsible for 1,300 CFM50 of air leakage (in an already-leaky house...total leakage of 5,300 CFM50 and only 2,200 square feet of conditioned floor area).

So, what to do about this doggy door? I could spent some time thinking of a clever way to address this, or do some research online, but I thought of y'all first, as the preeminent professionals.

Any advice?

Thanks,

Patrick

Troy, trust me when I say I am already going to move on a host of air sealing projects for these HOs, but I really want to address the pet door as well.

Disclaimer: I am a huge air sealing guy. I push it like you read about. I also consider myself one of the best air sealing techs.

Pretty lame. I get the whole nostalgia concept but let's be an adult about this. Fortunately, I am not looking at the same roadblock (as these HOs have a bunch of work to perform to get their house to where it should be).
