The Building Performance Institute, Inc. (BPI) is pleased to announce that its new Standard for Residential Building Quality Assurance Related to Post-Installation Field Inspections (BPI-6300-S-201x) is now available for public comment.
BPI-6300-S-201x, also known as the QA Field Inspection Standard, was developed by a working group created by BPI's Standards Technical Committee (STC) and comprised of subject matter experts representing a wide variety of interest categories and geographical locations. The QA Field Inspection Standard provides requirements for quality inspections of residential buildings. This standard includes protocols that provide clear guidance for third-party inspectors to confirm that home performance upgrade measures have been installed in accordance with the workscope and applicable standards.
