Is anyone aware of a few decent Ohio distributor/wholesaler of energy and weatherization products? As supposed to the other “Big box boys”?

Thanks,

Blevins (just outside of Dayton) for mobile homes/ Applied Energy for equipment and supplies, I think they are in the Akron area

Thanks,

I've found that it can be a real search.in most parts of the state.

Applied Energy Products, 4255 Kropf Ave., Canton, OH 44706-3648, 800-255-7996 has supplied the weatherization agencies for decades and had a good spread of the basics, the last time I looked.

I also use a company in IN which typically has given me three day service.

Most of the materials I would choose do not seem to be carried by the "big boxes".  Handyman" and some of the smaller chains often have materials which the big boys either haven't discovered or don't see enough market for.

I've found that I have to wander the web for much of what I want to use or recommend.

Tremco, an OH company, makes some very useful specialty sealants, including the notorious "Black Death" Acoustic Sealant, but I  can't recommend a retail source.

Hope this helps.

If you are a business... Grainger,  Gensco, perhaps EFI..
