Infrared and Electrical Inspections

Wednesday, Sept 7, 2011 Register Here

This live, online, educational webinar is the first part of the two-day conference and is recommended for any thermographer who is using infrared to inspect electrical systems. This presentation provides an overview of how to inspect in-plant electrical systems, safely and effectively, including what equipment to consider scanning, the conditions needed, typical patterns detected and considerations for prioritizing findings. The discussion will cover the finer points of conducting an efficient and effective inspection including tips for both in-plant and consultant thermographers.

Planned Topics:

Inspecting In-Plant Electrical Systems presented by Dave Sirmans

Infrared Windows and Viewports presented by Roy Huff

How to Prioritize Electrical Faults presented by Harold Van De Ven

Thermal Imaging for Weatherization

Thursday, September 8, 2011 Register Here

This live event is the second part of a two-day Thermal Solutions conference webinar covering some of the best practices of using thermal imaging to inspect residential and small commercial buildings. Inspecting building systems with thermal imaging is arguably one of the most complicated applications for infrared. The variety of construction materials, dynamic weather conditions, and technology limitations one encounters during an inspection often make using IR a challenging endeavor. This presentation will provide an overview of the infrared theory one needs to understand while showing real-world examples of where these theoretical concepts impact a thermographer during a building inspection.

Planned Topics:

IR Theory for the Building Thermographer presented by Matt Schwoegler

Cold-Weather Infrared Inspections s presented by Don Thurmond

Buying an Infrared Camera for Weatherization by Matt Schwoegler
