SUMMARY:The Snell Group - Two-Day Building Applications Course (new!)
DESCRIPTION:Prerequisite: Level I - Thermographic Applications\nThis c
ourse focuses on the application of infrared thermography for advanced
building diagnostics.   Participants will learn how infrared is use
d to analyze energy, moisture, and mechanical related problems in all
types of structures, residential and commercial. \nThis course focuse
s on the application of infrared thermography for advanced building di
agnostics.   Participants will learn how infrared is used to identif
y and analyze energy, moisture, and mechanical related issues in all t
ypes of structures, residential and commercial.  Advanced troubleshoo
ting techniques will be covered including ways in which one can better
utilize their thermal imaging system to perform qualitative surveys o
f buildings.  \nA section dedicated to examining infrared related sta
ndards and building inspection methodologies is included.  Attendees
will learn both where infrared is applied successfully and also specia
l circumstances where the technology may encounter limitations or poss
ibly mislead the thermographer in their analysis.\nThe following topic
s will be covered:\n\nIdentifying insulation deficiencies in building
enclosures\nLocating air infiltration and exfiltration related issues\
nUtilizing a blower door to identify air leakage problems\nEvaluating
wall systems including curtain wall, rainscreen and masonry\nDetecting
moisture related thermal patterns in building envelopes and low-slope
roof systems\nExamining infrared related standards for both building
diagnostics and moisture issues\nIdentifying structural defects in mas
onry and concrete block structures\nReviewing inspection methodologies
  and safety considerations\nLearning reporting procedures\nDiscovering
special circumstances and technological limitations of thermal imagin
g\nEvaluating electrical/mechanical components that affect building pe
rformance including HVAC systems\n\n\nFor more information visit http:
