DESCRIPTION:Continuing Education Credits/Units Available for This Cou
 rseA 32 hour class covering the theory and applications of infrared th
 ermography in the preventive maintenance, quality assurance, condition
  monitoring and non destructive testing of materials fields. This clas
 s focuses on qualitative thermography and how to collect data and foll
 ow proven and published inspection procedures. Upon completion student
 s will be able to capture clear thermograms and make basic inferences 
 and diagnosis.\nLevel I material includes infrared theory, heat transf
 er concepts, operation of thermal imaging equipment and specific recom
 mendations on how to make quality thermal images that are clear, conci
 se and easy to interpret. Students are challenged daily with hands on 
 demonstrations, experiments and inspection situations similar to those
  they will experience in their work. Students leave Snell training rea
 dy to put this amazing technology to work. This course fully meets th
 e educational requirements for certification in accordance with Recomm
 ended Practice No. SNT-TC-1A, as defined by the American Society for 
 Non-Destructive Training .  \n \nAn overview of the most common ap
 plications include:\n\nElectrical distribution systems\nMechanical sys
 tems\nSteam systems\nRefractories\nUnderground piping\nActive thermogr
 aphy\nBuilding envelopes\nLow-slope roofs\nNondestructive testing of m
 aterials\n\nStudents learn the basic inspection techniques based on ac
 cepted industry and international inspection procedures.\n \nThe cour
 se is open to everyone regardless of whether or not they own a thermal
  imager. Attendees that do have equipment are encouraged to bring the
 ir systems as there are a number of hands-on learning opportunities av
