SUMMARY:The Snell Group Level I – Thermographic Applications
DESCRIPTION:$1,695.00\nCourse Description:\nContinuing Education Credi
ts/Units Available for This Course\n\nA 32 hour class covering the the
ory and applications of infrared thermography in the preventive mainte
nance, quality assurance, condition monitoring and non destructive tes
ting of materials fields. This class focuses on qualitative thermograp
hy and how to collect data and follow proven and published inspection
procedures. Upon completion students will be able to capture clear the
rmograms and make basic inferences and diagnosis.\n\nLevel I material
includes infrared theory, heat transfer concepts, operation of thermal
imaging equipment and specific recommendations on how to make quality
thermal images that are clear, concise and easy to interpret. Student
s are challenged daily with hands on demonstrations, experiments and i
nspection situations similar to those they will experience in their wo
rk. Students leave Snell training ready to put this amazing technology
to work. This course fully meets the educational requirements for cer
tification according to the published recommendations of ASNT.\n\nAn o
verview of the most common applications include:\nElectrical distribut
 ion systems\nMechanical systems\nSteam systems\nRefractories\nUndergro
 und piping\nActive thermography\nBuilding envelopes\nLow-slope roofs\n
Nondestructive testing of materials\nStudents learn the basic inspecti
on techniques based on accepted industry and international inspection
procedures.\n\nThe course is open to everyone regardless of whether or
not they own a thermal imager. Attendees that do have equipment are e
ncouraged to bring their systems as there are a number of hands-on lea
rning opportunities available during the week.\n\nFor more information
