Event Description

WHY TAKE THIS COURSE:

The Entry Level Solar PV training course is the first step to earning a NABCEP Certification. As the solar industry continues to grow, a steadily growing supply of qualified installers will be necessary to support the build-out. NABCEP certification is generally acknowledged as the "gold standard" for professional accreditation in the solar energy industry, and gives employers and customers a degree of certainty that practitioners have voluntarily met the high standards and qualifications set by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).  This solar training course is IREC ISPQ Accredited Training Program and was designed to NABCEP's Job Task Analysis.

This course is ideal for roofers, electricians, contractors, architects, builders, aspiring solar professionals or anyone interested in solar PV installation. The classroom component of CleanEdison's Solar PV Boot Camp can be taken either in person or online.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

CleanEdison's Solar Photovoltaic Entry Level Boot Camp thoroughly covers the topics outlined in the NABCEP Photovoltaic Entry Level Learning Objectives, which is the crucial first step in the NABCEP certification process. Our 5-day, 40 hour course includes three eight-hour days of live classroom training and two eight-hour days of live hands-on field training using real solar panels. This course is designed to introduce solar energy in both theory and application and to immerse students in the key concepts of solar PV design, installation and safety. Participants will learn the essentials of a comprehensive solar installation, including the electrical components, system sizing and the mechanical and electrical design of arrays.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

  • 5-day course includes 40 hours of hands-on instruction, 3 days in the classroom with components and 2 days in the field with live panels
  • Hands-on solar panel installation training (many competitors only provide model demonstration)
  • All course materials and handbooks
  • NABCEP Entry Level Exam fee
  • CleanEdison Pass Guarantee: if you do not pass the certification exam on your first try, you may re-take the course at no additional cost
  • Temporary Discount to $1,995 (down from $2,995)

NABCEP CERTIFICATION:

CleanEdison is a registered, North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) Entry Level Exam provider. Students who complete this course are eligible to sit for the NABCEP Entry Level Exam. Successful completion of this course and a passing score on the NABCEP Entry Level Exam can provide participants up to 18 advanced credit hours toward the education requirements necessary to sit for the NABCEP Photovoltaic Installer Certification exam.
