This certification is the recognized national standard for contractors engaged in energy-efficiency improvements. Topics include principles of energy and building science, building shell and thermal envelope HVAC systems as well as the other systems of the home. Students will learn how to use important tools such as the blower door and infrared camera. This course includes comprehensive classroom instruction, hands-on field study in a residential home and both written and field tests.
